Interesting films to watch in July and August
- The Dark Knight. Need I say More? Christopher Nolan directs.
- Boy A by John Crowley. About a man released from prison at age 24 after spending most of his life inside for the murder of a boy while he himself was still a child.
- Man on Wire. Who would forget Frenchman Philippe Petit’s ropewalk (well, actually wire) of the World Trade Center in 1974? By James Marsh.
- Vicky Cristina Barcelona by Woody Allen. Top billed by Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson. Two American female friends go to Spain and meet and get involved with a married artist.
- Sixty Six by Paul Weiland. A comedy set in 1966 about a soccer fan boy who’s having a bar mitzvah on the same day England enters the finals in the world cup
I haven’t seen Wall E (Disney-Pixar) and Hellboy II (Guillermo delTorro) yet. Hope to watch them while still screening.
