Summer Movies

Interesting films to watch in July and August

  1. The Dark Knight. Need I say More? Christopher Nolan directs.
  2. Boy A by John Crowley. About a man released from prison at age 24 after spending most of his life inside for the murder of a boy while he himself was still a child.
  3. Man on Wire. Who would forget Frenchman Philippe Petit’s ropewalk (well, actually wire) of the World Trade Center in 1974? By James Marsh.
  4. Vicky Cristina Barcelona by Woody Allen. Top billed by Javier Bardem, Penelope Cruz and Scarlett Johansson. Two American female friends go to Spain and meet and get involved with a married artist.
  5. Sixty Six by Paul Weiland. A comedy set in 1966 about a soccer fan boy who’s having a bar mitzvah on the same day England enters the finals in the world cup

I haven’t seen Wall E (Disney-Pixar) and Hellboy II (Guillermo delTorro) yet.  Hope to watch them while still screening.
